본 발명은 내연기관에 공급되는 무화연료의 무화를 촉진함과 동시에 물(분무수)을 적정하게 혼합하여 연료소모의 저하와 배기가스중 CO와 HC를 감소시켜 공기의 오염을 감소시킴은 물론 승용차용 프러그 점화식 4행정 가솔린 엔진에 장착하여 석유를 연료로 사용할 수 있게 하여 승용차용 에너지의 전환을 도모키 위한 것이다.
가솔린 기관의 흡기계통은 일반적으로 기화기, 흡기관 및 흡기밸브장치등으로 구성되어 있으며, 기화기는 기관의 시동, 가속 및 정상운전등 광범위한 운전조건에 대응하는 접합한 혼합비의 혼합공기를 공급할 수 있는 기능이 요구되며 적정한 연소상태를 유지하기 위하여는 기화기로부터 분출되는 연료량, 혼합공기의 분무 상태 및 혼합공기의 유통상태(조건)등이 적정하여야 한다.
한편 기화기에 있어서의 혼합공기의 형성과정을 살펴보면, 벤트리(Venturi) 목부분에서 연료분사 노즐로부터 계량, 분출되어 고속공기 유동에 의하여 분열된 분무연료는 그 일부가 액적상태로 부유하고 나머지 대부분을 흡기관 벽을 따라 액막 상태로 엔진 측으로 유동하면서 기화되어 혼합공기를 형성한다.
따라서 대부분의 연료는 혼합공기가 기통내에 흡입된 후에 기화한다.
본 발명은 기화기로부터 기통에 이르는 연료유통과정을 개선하여 액적 및 유막상태로 유동하는 연료를 완전 무화하면서 무화수를 공급하여 완전 연소, 저급연료의 사용 및 배출가스의 개선을 도모키 위한 것으로 내연기관(1)의 흡기구(2)와 배기구(3)를 내부에 격판을 두고 일체로 형성하여 흡기구(2)에 연결된 기화기(4) 하단에 깔대기형 분사관(5)을 장착하여 흡기구(2)에 내설하고, 초음파 미립수 발생기(6)으로부터 공급되는 미립수가 배기구(3)내에 장착된 열교환용 공급관(7)을 통하여 흡기구(2)의 기화기(4) 하단의 분사관(5)측에 공급되게 구성한 것이다.
이와 같이 된 본 발명을 응용하면, 기화기(4)에서 공급된 연료(예를들어 석유)는 흡기구(2)내의 분사관(5)을 지나 고온(900℃ 내외)의 배기구(3) 표면에 분사되므로 즉시 무화(기화)상태의 연료가 되며, 한편 초음파 미립수 발생기(6)에서 공급된 미립수는 고온의 배기구(3)내에 장착된 열교환용 공급관(7)을 거쳐 흡기구(2)에 공급되면서 고온와 미립수로 되어 흡입무화 연료와 혼합되게 되어 흡기구(2)를 지나 내연관(1)의 기통으로 유동되면서 계속 혼합가온 중발기체화된다.
이와 같이 고온 무화된 혼합연료 기체가 내연기관(1)에 공급되므로 점화식 가솔린 기관에 석유연료를 사용하여도 정상적으로 가동됨은 물론 혼합된 미립수로 인하여 CO 및 HC는 현저히 감소되어 가솔린 기관의 연료 혁신은 물론 공해방지에 크게 기여하게 되어 산업상 널리 유용하게 응용될 수 있는 것이다.
여기서 내연기관(1) 및 배기구(2)가 충분히 가열되지 아니한 상태의 가솔린 기관에 석유연료의 전환 사용은 불가능한 것이므로 가솔린으로 일정시간 시동하여 배기구(2)를 충분히 가열 시킨뒤 석유연료로 전환 시키던가 아니면 별도의 가열장치를 석유연료 계통에 부설하는 방법등으로 해결될 수 있는 것이다.

- 내연기판(1)의 흡기구(2)와 배기구(3)를 내부에 격판을 두고 일체로 형성하여 흡기구(2)에 연결된 기화기(4)하단에 깔대기형 분사관(5)을 장착하여 흡기구(2)에 내설하고. 초음파 미립수 발생기(5)으로부터 공급되는 미립수가 배기구(3)내에 장착된 열 교환용 공급관(7)을 통하여 흡기구(2)의 기화기(4) 하단의 분사관(5)측에 공급되게 구성한 흡입연료의 무화촉진 및 미립수 혼합장치.
