Abstract

본 발명은, 수소 이온이 전극의 표면에서 전자를 제공받아 환원되어 수소원자로 될 때 전극의 내부로 보다 깊이 확산 침투될 수 있는 금속수소화물 전지용 전극 및 이를 사용한 충전시간이 적게 소요되고 전지의 무게가 납축전지에 대하여 가볍고 전지 중량당 충전 밀도가 높은 보다 새로운 형태의 전지를 제공하기 위한 것으로서, 티탄·망간 합금, 철·티탄계 합금, 란탄·니켈계 할금 또는 마그네슘·니켈계 합금과 같은 수소저장/흡수 합금의 표면을 니켈로 피복함을 특징으로 하는 금속수소화물 전지용 전극과 이전극을 음극의 활물질로 사용한 전지를 제공한다.

  1. 티탄·망간 합금, 철·티탄계 합금, 란탄·니켈계 합금 또는 마그네슘·니켈계 합금과 같은 수소저장/흡수 합금의 표면을 니켈로 피복함을 특징으로 하는 금속수소화물 전지용 전극.
  2. 음극 활물질으로 티탄·망간 합금, 철·티탄계 합금, 란탄·니켈계 합금 또는 마그네슘·니켈계 합금과 같은 수소저장/흡수 합금을 니켈으로 피복한 것을 사용함을 특징으로 하는 금속수소화물 전지.
