DEVICE FOR THE SUPPORT AND PRESENTATION OF

BAGS.

The invention relates to a device for supporting and presenting bags and is particularly suitable for supporting and presenting flexible bags used for the storage of relatively light food products, for example individual portions of food, crust such as fried potatoes, fruit peels, cakes and cookies, dried fruit, noodles or small crusts from pâtés or pastries, among many other applications.

In general, the types of bags which are supported and presented are each formed by a tubular body part which is welded at the two longitudinal ends of the bags by the formation of a transverse heat seal which is capable of making it more rigid and more resistant. the respective end portions of the bags as their side or body wall structure.

Various kinds of support and display devices for bags of this type are already widely used today, most of these devices comprising various elements which grip or grip the bags along their respective end edges, these devices being essentially constituted by pressure application components such as for example pliers.

Other types of support and presentation devices for flexible bags of this kind are made up of strips of a more rigid laminated material, for example of cardboard which is provided with grooves or notches in which one inserts a terminal border of a bag.

Unlike these known prior devices, the bag support and presentation device according to the invention has the following important advantages: - a simple and therefore extremely economical structure of the device; - an extremely simple assembly of the bags on the device and an extremely simple removal of these bags, and 5 - a considerable universality, facilitating the sale of different types of goods so as to increase the commercial applications and therefore the value of the device according to the invention.

Essentially, the bag support and display device as described herein is unique in that it is formed of at least two parallel spaced rods, the rods being placed with mutual spacing somewhat less than the length of the heat-sealed transverse end bands of the bags 15 intended to be supported and presented by the device.

The rods are of a configuration such that when one of the transverse heat-sealed bands of a bag is passed over one of the rods so that the bag remains suspended by means of the heat-sealed band with a transverse and contiguous orientation the rods, the bag is then retained between the two rods, the body part of the bag being suspended so as to hang down under the effect of gravity, and the heat-sealed transverse strip or the end edge of the bag being located on the opposite side or plane of the stems.

More specific features and advantages of the device according to the invention will become more apparent from the detailed description below, considered in conjunction with the appended drawings which illustrate various embodiments and in which:

The device of the invention is particularly applicable to the support and presentation of bags 1 5 containing products of relatively low weight.

The bags 1 can be flexible bags and can be formed from materials such as a metallic foil or a thermoplastic material, of the type comprising a tubular part of bag body 2. At the opposite long longitudinal ends of each bag, the ends directed transversely are provided with thermo-welded bands 3 which make the respective welded end bands more rigid than the body or the side walls 2 of the bag.

The device comprises at least two and generally several parallel rods 4 which are spaced apart, two by two, by a distance a little less than the length of the transverse welded edges 3 of the bags 1 which must be supported and presented by the 20 device.

The rods 4 of the device are arranged so that when one of the transverse welded end strips 3 of a bag is passed over the rods of a pair, so that the bag 1 remains suspended above it, the heat-sealed end strip 3 being in a transverse position contiguous to the rods 4 and the bag 1 being suspended between the rods so that its body hangs down by gravity, essentially under its own weight, the heat-sealed end strip 30 3 being located from the on the other side of the plane defined by the rods 4.

On the one hand, it should be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that the device can also be used, regardless of the inclination of the plane of the rods 4; practically, the rods can be oriented so that they extend vertically, horizontally or obliquely.

On the other hand, it is also obvious that the device - 4 - 4 of the invention may include one or more pairs of rods 4 which will allow multiple rows of bags to be hung side by side, as shown in Figures 1 and 4.

5 The device may include a suspension element 5 to allow the suspension of the device. From the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, it can be determined that the suspension element 5 - is formed by loops, while in the embodiment 10 of FIG. 3, the element of suspension 5 is formed of a hooked element.

Similarly, the device may include a support base 6 which will facilitate positioning of the device on a generally horizontal support surface. A support base 6 of this type can be determined in FIGS. 1 and 4.

Finally, as shown in FIG. 1, the bag support and presentation device can comprise a lower support element 7 which is oriented in an inclined plane and which is designed to support the bag 1 situated at the very bottom of a stack of bags, in an inclined position.

Represented and described what are considered as preferred embodiments, it is understood that one could easily make various modifications of form or detail without departing from the spirit of the invention. It is therefore understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiments shown and described.

Claims (3)

1. Bag support and display device particularly suitable for bags containing light food products, the bags being essentially flexible and each having a tubular body heat-sealed at its two longitudinal ends so as to form transverse end strips more rigid as the walls of the body of the bag, device characterized in that it comprises ". 10 minus two rods (4) spaced parallel by a distance a little less than the length of the transverse heat-sealed end strips (3) of the bag (1) supported and presented, the rods (4) being placed so that one heat-sealed end strips 15 (3) of the bag pass between them, the bag remaining placed so that the heat-sealed end strip extends transversely in a position contiguous to the rods, the bag being retained between the rods and supported by them, the body (2) of the bag (1) being suspended by gravity 20 and the heat-sealed end strip (3) being located on the side opposite the plane defined by the rods. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a suspension element (5) of the device. 3. Device according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it comprises a lower support base (6) serving to support it on a generally horizontal support surface. 4.- Device according to one of claims 1 30 to 3, characterized in that it comprises a lower support element (7) located in an inclined plane to support the bag (1) located at the bottom of a stack , in an inclined position.
