Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour construire un puits (1) pour exploiter un gisement de pétrole ou de gaz, comprenant les opérations suivantes : (a) forer une formation immergée sous une charge hydrostatique, sur au moins 3600 mètres de profond, de façon à atteindre la formation à partir de la surface de l'eau avec un tube prolongateur de forage (7), et un outil de forage qui passe intérieurement à travers le tube prolongateur de forage; et évacuer, à travers le tube prolongateur de forage (7), au moins l'un du fluide de forage qui circule, du pétrole ou du gaz naturel qui provient des formations, et des matériaux de forage résultants. Le tube prolongateur de forage (7) a un diamètre extérieur inférieur ou égal à 17 pouces et atteint une tête de puits (3) ayant un diamètre interne inférieur ou égal à 18,75 pouces, et positionnée en correspondance avec ou à proximité du lit de la mer qui est immergé et qui recouvre la formation.
