Abstract
L'invention concerne l'amélioration des rendements agricoles par l'application de sucres, par exemple, des monosaccharides et/ou des disaccharides et/ou des polysaccharides sur le sol. L'application des sucres est à une dose d'au moins 25 livres par acre, de préférence au moins 50 livres par acre, et de préférence à des doses de 100 à 250 livres par acre ou plus indépendamment d'une application solide ou liquide. L'application consiste en au moins une application des sucres à un moment avant, pendant et/ou après la plantation. En fonction de la forme et/ou du type des sucres appliqués, l'application peut être réalisée par épandage à la volée pour des solides ou par pulvérisation pour des liquides. Le sucre peut être du sucrose fourni sous la forme de sucrose granulé et épandu à la volée avant la plantation. Le sucre peut être appliqué dans le sillon soit séparément, soit combiné avec un engrais classique.
