Abstract

La présente invention concerne des plants de capsicum qui produisent des fruits qui sont et restent verts à maturité et/ou à surmaturité et non vert olive comme des variétés sempervirentes existantes, lesdits plants comprenant de manière homozygote dans leur génome un allèle mutant du gène cl codant pour la protéine de capsicum lui permettant de rester vert (casgr) et un allèle mutant du gène wt codant pour la protéine de la phytoène synthase (psy). L'invention concerne également des parties et des cellules desdits plants, en particulier des fruits de poivrons qui sont et restent verts à maturité et/ou à surmaturité. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production desdits plants de capsicum et des procédés d'identification, de détection et/ou de sélection desdits plants.
