Abstract

Des appareils pour la production de dioxyde de carbone et d'hydrogène à partir d'une eau contenant une espèce carbonate sont divulgués. L'appareil comprend un compartiment anodique comportant une anode disposée sur un premier côté du compartiment anodique et un compartiment cathodique comportant une cathode disposée sur un premier côté du compartiment cathodique. L'appareil comprend en outre un premier séparateur fluidique perméable aux cations disposé sur un second côté du compartiment anodique et un second séparateur fluidique perméable aux cations disposé sur un second côté du compartiment cationique. Un compartiment central est délimité entre le premier séparateur fluidique perméable aux cations et le second séparateur fluidique perméable aux cations. L'appareil comprend en outre un système de régulation d'écoulement conçu pour réguler indépendamment un écoulement d'eau à travers chaque compartiment parmi le compartiment anodique, le compartiment cathodique et le compartiment central. Des procédés de production d'hydrogène, de dioxyde de carbone et d'oxygène à partir d'eau de mer à l'aide de l'appareil sont également divulgués.
