Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de biomasse comprenant : la plantation de rangées de jeunes plants ou de boutures de peuplier des espèces Populus nigra ou Populus tremula en billons avec une densité supérieure à 40 000 unités par hectare ; la coupe annuelle de la plantation au niveau du billon pendant une période de 15 à 20 ans, et l'obtention à chaque coupe annuelle de tiges de peuplier ayant une longueur inférieure à 7 mètres et un diamètre inférieur à 6 centimètres, et la coupe transversale des tiges de peuplier en blocs de biomasse sensiblement cylindriques ayant une longueur ajustable et un diamètre variable, coïncidant avec le diamètre des tiges de peuplier dans les zones de coupe.
