Abstract

The invention relates to an innovative process for manufacturing biodegradable packaging from corn starch, propolis, and other natural components. The process comprises the following steps: ■ Preparation of a solution by mixing corn starch with water, glycerol, propolis, gum arabic, and coconut oil. ■ Heating and homogenizing the solution to promote the dissolution of the components and ensure uniform distribution. ■ Forming a packaging film from the homogenized solution, followed by controlled drying to obtain a strong, flexible, biodegradable film with antimicrobial properties. The resulting biodegradable packaging offers an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional plastic packaging, while also providing improved characteristics such as water resistance and antimicrobial protection. This innovative process helps to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste and offers new possibilities in the field of environmentally friendly packaging materials.
