Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés de production d'hydroxyde de sodium (NaOH) ou d'hydroxyde de lithium (LiOH), ainsi que d'acide sulfurique (H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub>), comprenant la génération de sulfate de sodium (Na<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub>) ou de sulfate de lithium (Li<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub>) à partir de la fabrication et du recyclage de batteries et la conversion du Na<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> ou du Li<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> en NaOH, LiOH et H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> générés par l'intermédiaire d'un processus de dissociation de sel électrochimique. Les étapes de traitement peuvent être effectuées dans un système fermé de telle sorte que le Na<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> ou le Li<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> générés peut être utilisé dans le processus de conversion avec des étapes de purification facultatives. En particulier, le LiOH, le NaOH et le Na<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> sont recyclés dans des processus de recyclage de batteries ou de fabrication de batteries.
