Abstract

The invention relates to the tobacco postharvest processing, more exactly to the baling of dry tobacco leaves and may be applied for the formation of standard bales of fermented and unfermented tobacco leaves.The proposed process includes heating of tobacco leaves, their layer-by-layer baling in the press-form, final prepressing of the finished bale and packing thereof. Novelty of the invention consists in that heating of tobacco leaves up to 40…60°C is carried out simultaneously with the baling of each layer.The result of the invention consists in reducing the baling forces.ca
