Изобретение относится к сельскому хозяйству и может быть использовано в фитотехнии для оценки устойчивости линий и гибридов кукурузы к засухе.Изобретение включает проращивание семян кукурузы в оптимальных условиях и в условиях, моделирующих физиологическую засуху, определение рассеянной энергии, выделяемой в процессе дыхания семян и сравнение ее значений. Более устойчивыми к засухе считают те растения, у которых разница между значениями рассеянной энергии в оптимальных условиях и в условиях, моделирующих физиологическую засуху, меньше.Результат изобретения состоит в повышении точности метода оценки устойчивости кукурузы к засухе.
