Abstract

The invention relates to methods for producing PbS nanocrystals, in particular to a method for producing hydrophilic PbS nanocrystals. The method, according to the invention, includes the homogenization of PbS nanocrystals, stabilized by oleic acid, in a nonpolar solvent, the boiling point of which is below the water boiling point in a ratio of 25 mg/ml, treatment of the obtained solution with 0.05...1.0 N solution of lithium or sodium, or potassium, or rubidium hydroxide, heating of the obtained mixture at the temperature of 50...60?C up to its staining in an intense black and brown colour, the gradual increase of temperature to the boiling of nonpolar solvent and maintenance of boiling up to its complete evaporation.
