Abstract

The invention relates to a process for regeneration of the active coal impurified with different non-organic and organic substances in the water purification process at the water purifying plants. The process, according to the invention, includes separation of the mechanical impurities, treatment with KOH solution at pH 11...13 during 20...30 hours, washing with demineralized water, drying at the temperature of 100...110 degree C during 3...5 hours and thermal treatment at the temperature of 450...600 degree C in the carbon dioxide atmosphere during 1,0...1,5 hours. The result consists in increasing the degree of humic substance removal from the pores of the used active coal. Claims: 1
