Abstract
Invenţia se referă la instalaţiile fotoelectrochimice pentru descompunerea apei în hidrogen şi oxigen şi poate fi utilizată în industriile energetică, chimică etc.Instalaţia solară pentru descompunerea apei în hidrogen şi oxigen include două celule fotoelectrochimice înseriate tandem. Prima celulă fotoelectrochimică conţine o incintă de oxidare a electrolitului apos cu fereastră de intrare a luminii solare şi anod transparent pentru lumina solară în intervalul de la galben până la roşu al spectrului, acoperit pe partea de contact cu electrolitul apos cu un strat de oxid semiconductor mezoporos. A doua celulă conţine, amplasate consecutiv, un electrod transparent, un strat de sensibilizator-colorant fotovoltaic, un absorbant în intervalele galben, roşu şi parţial infraroşu ale spectrului luminii solare şi un contraelectrod, legat galvanic cu anodul şi o incintă de reducere, care este separată de incinta de oxidare cu ajutorul unei membrane schimbătoare de ioni, în care este amplasat un catod de reducere şi un catod legat galvanic cu electrolitul transparent.Incinta de reducere este instalată între celulele fotoelectrochimice. Catodul formează cu anodul un sistem de electrozi paraleli. În calitate de membrană schimbătoare de ioni se utilizează o membrană schimbătoare de protoni, amplasată între anod şi catod, totodată catodul şi membrana sunt confecţionate din materiale transparente în intervalele galben şi roşu ale spectrului luminii solare, iar anodul şi catodul sunt confecţionaţi din materiale permeabile pentru protoni.
