Abstract
Inventia se refera la instalatiile fotoelectrochimice pentru descompunerea apei in hidrogen si oxigen si poate fi utilizata in industriile energetica, chimica etc. Instalatia solara pentru descompunerea apei in hidrogen si oxigen include doua celulefotoelectrochimice inseriate in tandem. Prima celula contine o incinta de oxidare a electrolitului apos cu fereastra de intrare din sticla transparenta la lumina solara si un anod transparent in intervalul de la galben pana la rosu al spectrului luminii solare, ce include pe partea de contact cu electrolitul apos un strat de oxid semiconductor mezoporos, absorbant in intervalele ultraviolet, violet, albastru si verde ale spectrului luminii solare, o sticla electroconductoare si un strat electroconductiv intre ele. A doua celula contine, amplasate consecutiv, un electrod transparent, un strat de sensibilizator-colorant fotovoltaic, un film mezoporos de TiO2 pentru polarizarea in intervalele galben, rosu si partial infrarosu ale spectruluiluminii solare, un strat de electrolit solid, un contraelectrod metalic, o incinta de reducere, care este separata de incinta de oxidare printr-o membrana schimbatoare de ioni. In incinta de reducere este amplasat un catod acoperit cu straturi mezoporoase din catalizator si un perete izolator extern. Noutatea inventiei consta in aceea ca in calitate de electrolit solid se utilizeaza un compozitsemiconductor, absorbant in intervalul infrarosu al spectrului luminii solare alcatuit dintr-o matrice semitransparenta din material polimeric, anorganic sau din sticla, in care sunt dispersate nanoparticule din semiconductor fotosensibil la radiatia infrarosie.
