Abstract

The invention relates to the cooperage, namely to a barrel for aging alcoholic products.The barrel, according to the invention, is assembled from semi-elliptically curved wooden staves (1), having their ends arranged around two bottoms (2) and strapped together to one another by means of hoops (3), at the same time the barrel is provided with additional staves (4, 5) placed inside it parallel to the bottoms (2) and fixed with a force between the walls of the barrel with the formation of internal stiffening elements.
