The invention relates to chemistry and agriculture, in particular to the use of a heterocyclic compound, 1,2,4-triazole derivative, as a fungicidal agent to combat root rot.Summary of the invention consists in that as an active compound against A. alternata and F. aquaeductuum phytopathogenic fungi, which are root rot causative agents, is proposed (Z)-1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-methyl-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)hex-1-en-3-one with the formula:.Active concentrations vary in the range of 0.0025…0.01%.
