Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para fabricar un material de plástico a partir de una fuente de proteína, el método se caracteriza por los siguientes pasos: i) tratar la fuente de proteína con por lo menos un agente de desnaturalización para romper interacciones entre proteínas o porciones de las mismas, y ii) tratar la fuente de proteína desnaturalizada con presión y temperatura suficientes para consolidar la fuente de proteína desnaturalizada a un material de plástico.
