Abstract
Compounds and compositions for inducing defence mechanisms in plants, methods and application, obtention process, extracts and uses thereof. The compounds are derivative of a/ß D-glucopyranose may have the general formula: (see formula) where R1 is a derivative of di or tri hydroxylated benzoic acid, R2 is H or a derivative of di or tri hydroxylated benzoic acid, R3 is H or a derivative of di or tri hydroxylated benzoic acid, R4 is H or a di or tri hydroxylated benzoic acid, and R5 is H or a derivative of di or tri hydroxylated benzoic acid; wherein when R1 and R2 are two galloyl groups may be a hexahydroxydiphenoyl (HHDP) group; when R2 and R3 are two galloyl groups, R2 and R3 may be a HHDP group; when R3 and R4 are two galloyl groups, R3 and R4 may be a HHDP group; when R4 and R5 are two galloyl groups, R4 and R5 may be a HHDP group; when R1 and R3 are two galloyl groups, R1 and R3 may be a HHDP group; when R1 and R4 are two galloyl groups, R1 and R4 may be a HHDP group; when R1 and R5 are two galloyl groups, R1 and R5 may be a HHDP group; when R2 and R4 are two galloyl groups, R2 and R4 may be a HHDP group; when R2 and R5 are two galloyl groups, R2 and R5 may be a HHDP group; when R3 and R5 are two galloyl groups, R3 and R5 may be a HHDP group. By instance, compounds such as 1-O-dihydroxyphenoyl-a/ß-D-glucopyranose or 1-O-galloyl-2,3;4,6-biHF1DP-a/ß-D-glucopyranose. The compounds are intended to induce defence mechanisms in plants and may be used for the manufacture of compounds for treating and preventing plants from diseases.
