Abstract

Un sistema para distribuir agua dentro de un edificio opera para distribuir agua desde una fuente de suministro de agua presurizada hasta dispositivos que reciben agua, tales como grifos, baños, regaderas, aspersores y dispositivos de calefacción de agua caliente. El sistema incluye por lo menos un colector (12), el cual puede ser de una construcción de plástico moldeado unitario y comprendido de cloruro de polivinilo clorinado (CPVC). El colector (12) incluye una lumbrera (14) de entrada y una pluralidad de lumbreras de salida las cuales también se denominan como manguitos (16). Los manguitos (16) se configuran para recibir inserciones (21) de montaje en varios tipos que incluyen conectores (20) de línea de agua. Los manguitos (16) también se configuran para aceptar conductos de agua de plástico estándar en los mismos en una relación cementada. Los conectores (20) de línea de agua pueden incluir conectores metálicos tales como accesorios con pestañas, los cuales pueden utilizarse para conectar el colector (12) y la tubería de polietileno reticulado (PEX) en una relación no roscada.
