Abstract
La presente invención permite la expansión secundaria de perlas espumadas de bajo peso. Las perlas espumadas se producen usando un compuesto que comprende un poliéster compostable o de base biológica, y un agente espumante físico, así como un agente espumante químico. La expansión secundaria se puede usar ya sea para reducir la densidad de la perla espumada, o para permitir la expansión de las perlas de espuma se pueden producir usando técnicas convencionales de procesamiento por fusión, tales como procesos de extrusión de un solo usillo y de doble husillo.
