Abstract

Se proporciona una tela no tejida coform que contiene una matriz de fibras sopladas con fusión y un material absorbente. Las fibras sopladas con fusión son formadas de una composición termoplástica que contiene por lo menos un copolímero de propileno/c-olefina de un cierto contenido de monómero, densidad, tasa de flujo de derretido, etc. La selección del tipo específico de copolímero de propileno/c-olefina proporciona la composición resultante con propiedades térmicas mejoradas para formar un tejido coform. Por ejemplo, la composición termoplástica cristaliza una tasa relativamente lenta permitiendo por tanto a las fibras el permanecer ligeramente pegajosas durante la formación. Esta pegajosidad puede proporcionar una variedad de beneficios, tal como el mejoramiento de la capacidad de las fibras sopladas con fusión para adherirse al material absorbente durante la formación del tejido coform. En ciertas incorporaciones, el tejido coform también puede ser impartido con una textura usando una superficie formadora tridimensional. En tales incorporaciones, la tasa de cristalización lenta de las fibras sopladas con fusión puede aumentar la capacidad para conformar a los contornos de la superficie formadora tridimensional. Una vez que las fibras cristalizan, sin embargo, las fibras sopladas con fusión pueden lograr un grado de rigidez similar al polipropileno convencional, permitiendo por tanto a éstas el retener su forma tridimensional y formar una superficie altamente texturizada sobre la tela coform.
