Abstract
Partículas de aerogel se impregnan con un líquido volátil. En presencia de las partículas de aerogel impregnadas se preparan espumas de polímero orgánico. El líquido volátil se evapora durante el proceso de espumación dando como resultado una espuma compuesta en donde la partícula de aerogel dispersa se llena con gas. Las espumas compuestas tienen una conductividad térmica excepcionalmente baja.
