Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a la regulación del pH de un proceso de licuación. Se presenta un método para tratamiento de un material de alimentación de biomasa en donde el material de alimentación de biomasa se somete a licuación, a un pH de como máximo 4, por tratamiento con agua líquida comprimida caliente (HCW) en condiciones subcríticas y/o supercríticas para mejorar la eficiencia de conversión. La presente invención está orientada también al extinción de un proceso de licuación conforme a lo anterior, que previene, minimiza o elimina el atascamiento y/o el ensuciamiento de componentes de biomasa pegajosos en el equipo de proceso durante el procesamiento como se ha indicado anteriormente, y al uso de aditivos en un proceso de licuación de biomasa.
