Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una bandeja de empaque para la protección de artículos alimenticios frágiles y perecederos, tales como las peras, lo cual permite que los artículos de frutas de dimensiones y pesos variables sean manejados seguramente en cada cavidad, y que permiten que una pluralidad de bandejas apiladas y que las frutas sean empacadas en las cajas (por ejemplo, los tamaños de las cajas de cartón estándares). La bandeja es una hoja de espuma de plástico que tiene una pared superior y una pluralidad de cavidades alveolares rebajadas, cada cavidad alveolar que tiene una pared lateral de la cavidad alvolar relativamente más delgada con canales expansibles (semejantes a un acordeón), y una pared inferior relativamente más gruesa también con canales expansibles.
