Abstract
La presente invención provee un aparato de autentificación operativo para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica, que comprende una disposición para la medición de la birrefringencia ópticamente basada operativa para medir un primer efecto influenciado por una característica de birrefringencia de la película y un segundo efecto influenciado por otra característica óptica, en donde el aparato es operativo para: comparar un valor o intervalo de valores, representativo de tal primer efecto con un valor o intervalo de valores representativo de un primer efecto especificado correspondiente a una característica de birrefringencia predeterminada de una película polimérica auténtica; comparar un valor o intervalo de valores, representativo de tal segundo efecto con un valor o intervalo de valores representativo de un segundo efecto especificado correspondiente a otra característica óptica predeterminada de una película polimérica auténtica; y dar salida a la señal de autenticidad indicativa de la autenticidad o por el contrario de tal película basada en una o ambas comparaciones. También se proveen uno o más métodos para determinar la autenticidad de una película polimérica.
