Abstract
Se describe métodos para formar capas de polímero en superficie de polímeros usando polimerización radical de transferencia de átomos (ATRP). E l método puede incluir pasos de funcionalización previos a la ATRP iniciada en la superficie, como pasos de hidroxilación y/o halogenación. El paso de hidroxilación se puede realizar en una solución que incluya persulfato de potasio, persulfato de amonio o hidróxido de litio. El paso de halogenación también se puede realizar en una solución. Los métodos aquí descritos se pueden realizar en grupos de fibras de polímeros huecas, incluyendo grupos de fibras de polímeros montados en un modulo.
