Abstract
Un Sistema para proteger contra la corrosión a los lados exteriores de un tanque de almacenamiento, incluye un sistema de tuberías que comprende tuberías de entrada no perforadas y tuberías perforadas conectadas a él. Se inserta un contenedor de mangas que contiene compuestos VCI sólidos dentro de la misma, dentro de las tuberías perforadas. Las mangas son permeables a los vapores emitidos por los compuestos VCI sólidos y fluyen a través de la tubería hacia una perforación en donde son admitidos en un área por debajo de un tanque de almacenamiento, de modo que pueden entrar en contacto con el fondo del tanque (lado exterior) y protegerlo de la corrosión.
