Abstract
La presente invención provee métodos para tratar cáncer colorrectal metastásico que comprenden identificar individuos que van a responder de manera favorable a terapia anti-VEGF. De conformidad con ciertos aspectos de la invención, los individuos se identifican tomando como base su nivel de expresión de VEGF-A. La respuesta favorable a la terapia anti-VEGF queda indicada por niveles de expresión elevados de VEGF-A. También se describe en la presente solicitud el uso de VEGF-A como un marcador para identificar individuos que tienen cáncer colorrectal metastásico de los cuales se espera tengan mejores resultados de supervivencia relativos con una terapia anti-VEGF.
