Abstract

Se describe una composición de polímeros para usar en el mejoramiento de la producción de petróleo de una formación. La composición comprende un polímero en polvo que tiene un peso molecular promedio de 0.5 a 30 millones de Daltons suspendido en un solvente soluble en agua que tiene un HLB mayor o igual a 8 y que se selecciona del grupo de tensioactivos, glicol éteres, alcoholes, cosolventes y mezclas de estos, con una relación de peso de polímero en polvo con respecto a solvente soluble en agua que varía de 20:80 a 80:20. La composición de polímeros es sustancialmente anhidra y se hidrata en un fluido acuoso para obtener una solución de inyección en un período menor o igual a 4 horas que contiene una concentración de polímeros que varía de 100 ppm a 50.000 ppm y tiene una relación de filtro menor o igual a 1.5 a 15 psi (0.1 a 1.05 kg/cm2) usando un filtro de 1.2 µm. También se describen métodos para elaborar una suspensión de polímeros y para mejorar la recuperación de petróleo.
