Abstract
Se describe un método para esterilizar instrumentos médicos mediante el uso de una cámara de vacío conectada al depósito mediante una válvula en un estado cerrado, que incluye colocar los instrumentos en un estado no estéril en un paquete de esterilización, abrir una cámara, colocar el paquete en la cámara, cerrar la cámara, extraer un primer volumen de aire de la cámara, cambiar un volumen de agua líquida en vapor, abrir la válvula, introducir el esterilizante en la cámara, introducir un segundo volumen de aire en la cámara, abrir la cámara, retirar el paquete de la cámara, y retirar los instrumentos del paquete en un estado estéril; el proceso puede incluir, además, las etapas de determinar la presión repetidamente dentro de la cámara, calcular los valores de la segunda derivada de la presión con respecto al tiempo, y determinar si existe cualquier máximo local en una gráfica de valores de la segunda derivada que corresponden a presiones por encima y/o por debajo de la presión en el punto triple del agua.
