Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato adecuado para fundir y separar metales en condiciones flexibles de reducción de óxido. Más en particular, se refiere a un aparato para fundir cargas metalúrgicas que comprende un horno de baño susceptible de contener una carga fundida hasta un nivel determinado, caracterizado porque el horno está equipado con: al menos una soplete de plasma sin transferencia para la generación de primeros gases calientes; al menos un quemador de oxigas para la generación de segundos gases calientes; e, inyectores sumergidos para inyectar dichos primer y segundo gases calientes por debajo de dicho nivel determinado.
