Abstract
Un aparato y método de inspección para inspeccionar automáticamente los cuerpos de panal de cerámica durante su fabricación; el aparato incluye una fuente de luz para iluminar luz a través de los canales del cuerpo de panal de cerámica, una lente para recibir al menos una porción de la luz transmitida a través de canales del cuerpo de panal de cerámica, una cámara para capturar imágenes de la luz transmitida, un mandril de soporte para soportar el cuerpo de panal, y un controlador para recibir las imágenes capturadas, para analizar cada imagen capturada, para ajustar el mandril de soporte y/o la lente basándose en el análisis, y para alinear los canales del cuerpo de panal de cerámica y el eje óptico de la lente.
