Abstract
Se describen un compuesto de catalizador de oxidación, procedimientos y sistemas para el tratamiento de emisiones de gases de escape de un motor diésel. Más particularmente, se describe un compuesto de catalizador de oxidación que incluye un primer componente de oxidación que comprende un primer soporte de óxido metálico refractario, paladio (Pd) y platino (Pt); un componente de almacenamiento de NOx que comprende uno o más de alúmina, silicio, titania, ceria o manganeso; y un segundo componente de oxidación que comprende un segundo óxido metálico refractario, una zeolita y Pt. El compuesto de catalizador de oxidación es tolerante al azufre, adsorbe NOx y libera térmicamente el NOx almacenado a una temperatura inferior a 350 °C.
