Abstract
Se describe un proceso para la metalización de una superficie polimérica de un artículo. El proceso comprende aplicar a la superficie polimérica un portador líquido que contiene una suspensión de partículas metálicas o de aspecto metálico. La superficie polimérica y el portador líquido son tales que el ángulo de humectación entre el portador líquido y la superficie polimérica es substancialmente es de sustancialmente 90°C o más y las partículas y la superficie polimérica son tales que las partículas tienen una mayor afinidad a la superficie polimérica que a otra o al líquido, por ende las partículas en suspensión en el líquido migran a la interfase entre el líquido y la superficie polimérica para formar un recubrimiento monocapa de partículas sobre la superficie polimérica.
