Un material de barra de acero inoxidable martensítico para un miembro de fondo de pozo de la presente modalidad tiene una composición química que contiene, en % en masa, C: 0.020% o menos, Si: 1.0% o menos, Mn: 1.0% o menos, P: 0.03% o menos, S: 0.01% o menos, Cu: de 0.10 a 2.50%, Cr: de 10 a 14%, Ni: de 1.5 a 7.0%, Mo: de 0.2 a 3.0%, Ti: de 0.05 a 0.3%, V: de 0.01 a 0.10 %, Nb: 0.1% o menos, Al: de 0.001 a 0.1% y N: 0.05% o menos, siendo el resto Fe e impurezas y que satisface la fórmula (1) y la fórmula (2). [Mo] - 4 × [cantidad total de Mo en el precipitado en la posición R/2] = 1.30 (1) [Cantidad total de Mo en el precipitado en la posición central] - [cantidad total de Mo en el precipitado en la posición R/2] = 0.03 (2).
