Abstract

Los métodos para seleccionar un paciente con cáncer para la inmunoterapia comprenden establecer una carga mutacional total del gen pasajero a partir de un tumor de un paciente de cáncer, generar una distribución de fondo para la carga mutacional del tumor, normalizar la carga mutacional total del gen pasajero contra la distribución de fondo, y categorizar al paciente de cáncer como un respondedor de inmunoterapia cuando la carga mutacional total del gen pasajero es mayor de la desviación estándar que la media de la distribución de fondo. Cuando el paciente con cáncer es un respondedor de inmunoterapia, puede administrarse al paciente un régimen de inmunoterapia que comprende activación/inhibición de receptores de células T que promueven la activación de células T y/o actividades citolíticas inmunitarias prolongadas.
