Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un ensamble que consiste de un par de implantes oculares multifocales; este ensamble se caracteriza, esencialmente, porque: - cada implante de este par tiene una curva de TFMTF (Función de Transferencia de Modulación a Través de Enfoque) (A, B), para una pupila de diámetro menor que o igual a 4 mm, de preferencia menor que 3 mm, que tiene un pico (A/VL; B/VL) que corresponde a la visión a distancia (VL) del portador, así como un pico asimétrico (A/PE; B/PE) que se expande entre la visión intermedia (VI) y la visión cercana (VP), es decir, sin discontinuidad entre la visión intermedia (VI) y la visión cercana (VP); - para un primer implante de este par, el valor de TFMTF es mayor en la visión intermedia (VI) que en la visión cercana (VP); - para el segundo implante de este par, el valor de TFMTF es mayor en la visión cercana (VP) que en la visión intermedia (VI); - el borde que se eleva (FA) del pico asimétrico (A/PE) del primer implante tiene, como un valor absoluto, una pendiente promedio mayor que el de su borde que desciende (FD), mientras que el borde que se eleva (FA) del pico asimétrico (B/PE) del segundo implante tiene, como un valor absoluto, una pendiente promedio menor que la de su borde que desciende (FD).
