Abstract
Un dispositivo inalámbrico adaptado para operación de acuerdo con dos o más tecnologías de acceso por radio, RATs, obtiene información de configuración de señal de referencia de posicionamiento al enviar (602), a un servidor de ubicación, una solicitud de asistencia, en donde la solicitud de asistencia comprende información sobre una célula que sirve al dispositivo inalámbrico de acuerdo con una primera RAT. El dispositivo inalámbrico recibe (604), en respuesta a la solicitud de asistencia, información de configuración de señal de referencia de posicionamiento, en donde la información de configuración de señal de referencia de posicionamiento identifica una o más señales transmitidas de acuerdo con una segunda RAT, para medición por el dispositivo inalámbrico. El dispositivo inalámbrico mide (606) al menos una de la una o más señales identificadas y puede reportar las mediciones y/o estimar una ubicación para el dispositivo inalámbrico en función de las mediciones.
