Abstract
La presente descripción proporciona un método para restaurar o mejorar la función visual en un individuo, tal método comprende administrarle al individuo un ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica una o más de una opsina del cono de longitud 5 de onda media (opsina MW), una opsina del cono de longitud de onda larga (opsina LW) y una opsina del cono de longitud de onda corta (opsina SW), una o más de la opsina MW, la opsina LW y/ la opsina SW se expresa en una célula de la retina en el individuo, por lo cual se mejora y restaura de este modo la función visual.
