Abstract

Una composición de polímero para su uso en un adhesivo termofusible comprende al menos un polímero a base de propileno de bajo peso molecular (LMW), semicristalino; al menos un polímero a base de propileno de alto peso molecular (HMW), esencialmente amorfo; y al menos un polímero a base de propileno de LMW, esencialmente amorfo. Una composición de adhesivo termofusible contiene además un agente de pegajosidad, un plastificante, un antioxidante y opcionalmente una cera, una carga, un colorante, un absorbente de UV, otro polímero, o combinaciones de los mismos. El adhesivo termofusible es útil para una variedad de aplicaciones industriales donde se encuentra unión de sustratos de baja energía de superficie, incluyendo artículos higiénicos no tejidos desechables, etiquetado y otras aplicaciones de ensamblaje. Las aplicaciones particularmente preferidas incluyen la fabricación de pañales y toallas femeninas, uniones elásticas para pañales y ropa interior para incontinencia de adultos desechables, estabilización del núcleo de pañales y toallas femeninas, laminación de láminas de soporte de pañales, conversión de material de filtro industrial y ensamblaje de batas quirúrgicas y sábanas quirúrgicas.
