Abstract

Un dispositivo de administración de medicamentos que se puede usar con un contenedor de medicamentos en donde el avance de un pistón dentro del contenedor expulsa el medicamento. El dispositivo incluye una carcasa y un conjunto de accionamiento. El conjunto de accionamiento incluye una correa de accionamiento que tiene secciones de borde distal y proximal. La correa de accionamiento tiene una configuración retraída que define una espiral y una configuración extendida que define una hélice. La correa de accionamiento se puede mover desde la configuración retraída a la configuración extendida con dicho movimiento que define un eje de accionamiento y hace avanzar el pistón. En algunas modalidades, la correa de accionamiento puede que no rote a medida que avanza, mientras que, en otras modalidades, la correa sí rota. Los conjuntos de accionamiento descritos incluyen conjuntos accionados manualmente, conjuntos accionados por resorte y conjuntos accionados por motor.
