Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para recubrir las llantas de un automóvil, en donde una capa de imprimación de polímero (A), una capa intermedia de polímero (B), una capa decorativa (C) que consiste de una capa de polímero curada por calor con pigmentos de metal tipo escama incorporados cubriendo la superficie visible de la capa decorativa (C), y finalmente una capa de recubrimiento de polímero (D) son aplicadas consecutivamente a la superficie de metal de la llanta; de acuerdo con la invención, para desarrollar este método de modo que las llantas recubiertas logren la apariencia de metal pulido sin costos extra sustanciales, la capa intermedia de polímero (B) es producida con una superficie de alto brillo y la capa decorativa (C) es aplicada a la superficie de alto brillo de la capa intermedia depolímero (B) en el método de atomización húmeda con un grosor de capa de máximo 2µm, donde se seca a temperatura ambiente y, antes de la aplicación de la capa de recubrimiento de polímero (D), se fija a la capa intermedia de polímero (B) a través de un tratamiento térmico posterior en una forma en que se adhiere a la superficie de la misma con una resistencia al desprendimiento de corte cruzado (de acuerdo con DIN EN ISO 2409) de Gt = 0 a Gt = 2.
