Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para modificar un material polisacarídico, preferiblemente un material amiláceo, que implica un primer paso de solubilización homogénea de dicho material polisacarídico en un disolvente acuoso, seguido de un paso de funcionalización química homogénea que comprende al menos una modificación química no reticulante, o al menos una modificación química reticulante, o una secuencia de al menos una modificación química no reticulante y al menos una modificación química reticulante; en segundo lugar, la presente invención se refiere a un material polisacarídico modificado, en particular obtenido mediante el método de acuerdo con la invención, caracterizado por que tiene una novedosa distribución de los sustituyentes químicos fijados a las funciones hidroxilo de las unidades de anhidroglucosa de dicho material polisacarídico; los novedosos almidones se pueden utilizar como adyuvantes orgánicos para morteros secos hechos de cemento o hechos de yeso, en particular como un aglutinante para un mortero seco hecho de cemento o como un agente espesante para un mortero hecho de escayola.
