Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un inoculante para la elaboración de hierro fundido con grafito esferoidal, dicho inoculante comprende una aleación de ferrosilicio particulado que consiste en entre aproximadamente 40 a 80 % en peso de Si; 0.02-10 % en peso de Ca; 0-15 % en peso de metal de tierras raras; 0-5 % en peso de A; 0-5 % en peso de Sr; 0-5 % en peso de Mg; 0-12 % en peso de Ba; 0-10 % en peso de Zr; 0-10 % en peso de Ti; 0-10 % en peso de Mn; en donde al menos uno, o la suma, de elementos Ba, Sr, Zr, Mn o Ti están presentes en una cantidad de al menos 0.05 % en peso, el balance es Fe e impurezas incidentales en la cantidad normal, en donde el inoculante contiene, además, en peso, basado en el peso total del inoculante: 0.1 a 15 % en peso de Sb2O3 particulado, un método para producir tal inoculante y uso de tal inoculante.
