Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos y sistemas para la identificación y cuantificación precisa y eficiente de proteínas. En un aspecto, en la presente se describe un método para identificar una proteína en una muestra de proteínas desconocidas, que comprende recibir información de una pluralidad de mediciones empíricas realizadas en las proteínas desconocidas; comparar la información de mediciones empíricas con una base de datos que comprende una pluralidad de secuencias de proteínas, cada secuencia de proteínas que corresponde a una proteína candidata entre una pluralidad de proteínas candidatas; y para cada una o más de la pluralidad de proteínas candidatas, generar una probabilidad que la proteína candidata genere la información de mediciones empíricas, una probabilidad que no se observe la pluralidad de mediciones empíricas dado que la proteína candidata está presente en la muestra, o una probabilidad que la proteína candidata esté presente en la muestra; con base en la comparación de la información de mediciones empíricas contra la base de datos.
