Abstract
Un codificador de parámetro de cuantificación de imágenes se proporciona con: un sistema de predicción (11) para generar un parámetro de cuantificación previsto a partir de un parámetro de cuantificación reconstruido anterior; un sistema de cálculo (12) para generar un parámetro de cuantificación diferencial a partir de un parámetro de cuantificación y el parámetro de cuantificación previsto; y un codificador de parámetro de cuantificación (13) el cual, cuando el parámetro de cuantificación diferencial es significativo, realiza codificación aritmética binaria de un primer bin que indica si el parámetro de cuantificación diferencial es significativo, un bin diferente indica el valor absoluto de un parámetro de cuantificación diferencial no redundante, y un bin indica la positividad/negatividad del parámetro de cuantificación diferencial.
