Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos para la codificación y decodificación de video, así como aparatos y medios de almacenamiento no transitorios y legibles por computadora de los mismos. En un método para la decodificación de video, un decodificador aritmético binario puede obtener, de acuerdo con una ponderación adaptativa, una probabilidad de múltiples hipótesis para un símbolo binario de un modelo de contexto para el decodificador aritmético binario, en donde la probabilidad de múltiples hipótesis indica una probabilidad de que el símbolo binario sea igual a un valor binario y que el símbolo binario sea de una pluralidad de símbolos binarios asociados con el modelo de contexto. Además, el decodificador puede decodificar el símbolo binario de acuerdo con la probabilidad de múltiples hipótesis.
