Abstract

Un método de lixiviación en pilas de un metal a partir de un material ROM que contiene un material que contiene sulfuro metálico, como un mineral que contiene sulfuro de cobre. El método comprende formar una pila del material ROM o extender una pila existente agregando el material ROM a la pila. El método también comprende lixiviar el metal del material ROM en la pila con una solución de lixiviación ácida y producir una solución de lixiviación cargada que contiene el metal en solución y recuperar metal de la solución de lixiviación cargada.
